Crit Clash: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein

Art Prof Clara Lieu and Teaching Artist Alex Rowe debate "The Giving Tree," a picture book published in 1964 by Shel Silverstein. In "Crit Clash," we assign a point of view to each artist for the purposes of this debate. In this case, Alex is arguing for "The Giving Tree," while Prof Lieu is arguing against "The Giving Tree." These views are not necessarily what Prof Lieu and Jordan think in real life by the way, so you might see them making statements they wouldn't normally make!
